Positives:

• The main asset of film is the duo Ajay-Atul who gave their 1000%. Their songs are all chartbusters & very brilliant on big screen. Coming to BGM they eleavted & made every scene 100 times more powerful


• Kriti sanon as Janaki, did brilliant performance who is already a proven good actress. There was scene where she emotes just with eyebrows was superb


• Prabhas - the lead actor, as asual got a great role & gave his best


• Karthik palani - DOP of film did a wonderful job there were many shots where he used is brilliant technique in capturing those frames creatively


• Finally the captain of ship , Om raut did a good job in making this epic a great watch on big screen . Should really appreciate him for reworking on film after the negative trolls during 2022 teaser release & making it a better product

Negatives:

Compressed screenplay

• Many parts from ramayana were cut in short in the film & there was no proper continuity in some places.
  When you make film based on huge volume epics or novels a single film is never sufficient.


• Quoting recent example of 2 part film ponniyin selvan - the same condensed screenplay happened there also because of underlying 5 volume PS novel which couldn’t fit into 1 or 2 movies.


• Indian film industry should really take inspiration from Hollywood franchises like harry potter or GOT to make a Double XL size epic / novel in multiple parts instead of rushed 1-2 parts

Thoughts on Adipurush VFX

• VFX could have been better but still great output


• Many would have drawn comparison of adipurush vfx with other Hollywood biggies but in this limited budget of 500 crore out of which 150crore went for remuneration the output of Adipurush is seriously brilliant.


• Even you might think Shankar in 2010 with budget 1/4 of Adipurush made better & brilliant vfx scenes in Enthiran. But costing have changed & enthiran is not a motion capture / animation based film unlike adipurush- which needs more vfx rendering


• To do a likewise comparison, famous Hollywood animation film “Alice in Wonderland” was made with budget of $150 million 10 years back or recent avatar 2 with budget of $400 million where each vfx shot on average of $100k. Now if you just check adipurush budget , then its vfx is a steal deal with minimal investment.
